Day 48 - Sidelined

Well day 48 another day off. 1100 5/10 miles. Received my new shoes today and will test them and new insoles a couple miles tomorrow to make sure they work before the second half big push. I hope it goes well, this day off stuff is driving me crazy. 
 
Day 47 - R & R

Well day off to rest arch/foot. Figures it has to be nice day today, not a cloud in sky. Drives me crazy not to run today. So Day 47...1100....5/10 miles. No pictures of me staring at my foot in bed. Still upbeat and hopeful this will go away. Hitting the road Friday.
 
Day 46 - Rest in Texas

Well I didn't take my medication for one day and next day my ankle swelled up again. I stopped at 5 miles today, because I think I would of hurt it bad again. I am surprisingly upbeat about taking off 4 days off my feet I think that will really help. I guess I will have to keep taking this Med until done with run. I got a weekly rate here and I think 4 days will be enough, will run again on Friday.

My average daily miles is out the window now its just get it done and survive, I am almost halfway, I need to be ready for some serious mountains. I have planned ahead on this route. Days off are nice I just might take another day off if Oprah has a good guest on that day. 

Ran 1100 5/10 miles so far, limped 800. lol
 
Day 45 - Oil Rigs

Now 38 miles past Gainesville we will move ahead to Wichita Falls, Texas tomorrow as I am 40 miles away and will be past in two days.

Wore down the soles of my shoes and arch started hurting. I can only get 8 days out of a pair which is 200 miles. So I ran 26 miles today on day 45,,, 1095 5/10 miles so far. Nice day 60 degrees.

Running by a lot of places that sell actual oil rigs from small to big, I would like one for my front yard back home. There goes the neighborhood.
 
Day 44 - New Country Song

Ran through Gainesville, Texas and 14 miles past. I like Gainesville, they had everything we needed and was easy to run through with a nice shoulder all the way through. Nice day 60 degrees today and I ran well. 27 miles closer to the beach. Day 44   1069 5/10 miles. My arch is getting better and Texas is getting smaller.
